Teen Summer Reading Program is Now Underway!

Have you picked up your form yet? If you haven’t already, just stop by any LFPL branch to grab one. This year you will win a pair of ear buds and passes to cool places like Squire Boone Caverns, Rauch Planetarium, and the Louisville Science Center, as well as passes to Louisville Bats games and select UofL events. Want to participate in the Teen Summer Reading program this summer, but don’t know what to read? Here are some suggestions to get you started!

First up is Cinder by Marissa Meyer. This is an interesting retelling of Cinderella with Cinderella as a cyborg in a dystopian future. A deadly plague is making its way through New Beijing, where humans and androids live and work. Cinder is a cyborg, and gifted mechanic, who is hated by her stepmother and stepsisters. She catches the attention of Prince Kai and discovers that her mysterious past holds a secret that puts her at the center of an intergalactic struggle with ruthless lunar people.
